Marquez to join Red Bulls

 Rumors of Barcelona striker joining Red Bulls 

Rafael Marquez has confirmed he will leave Spanish giants Barcelona to join MLS club New York Red Bull`s.
The 31-year old Mexico international has been the subject of  alot of speculation linking him with the New York Red Bulls with reports suggesting he is to be unveiled as a new signing on Friday.
Marquez’s official website, rafaelmarquez.com, suggests that the move is a certainty.‘The die is cast. Rafael Marquez is about to abandon the discipline of FC Barcelona after seven years playing at the highest level.He will be reunited with his friend  Henry, and the 31 year old may well finish off his career playing in the MLS.In an exclusive interview with New York Red Bull News, head coach Hans Backe said that a new player would be making his way to Red Bull Arena in the next  week to play a key role as part of the midfield formation which would suit Marquez perfectly..General manager Erik Soler hinted to the New York Post earlier this week that the player they had lined up was  well known but refrained from naming anyone.
