Is Kandji on his way to the premiership ?

Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur have both shown an interest in forward Macoumba Kandji of the New York Red Bulls.Kandji , who joined the Red Bulls from Atlanta Silverbacks,  in September `08.He impressed in two recent friendlies against the Premier League sides .Since then there have been  discussions ,obviously, Manchester City have bigger fish to fry ,and are unlikely to try poach the player but they said he is one to keep an eye on, but with an unlimited budget there gaze will be set else where by the weekend.
Kandji's eye-catching performances have led to a surge of interest  from across Europe, all though a move to the Premier League is understood to be the main priority for the 24-year-old player.Red Bull fans will be hoping for
a change of heart though as the team,at long last,seems to be shaping up into a team worth watching in this season`s  MLS.
